Department Of Masters of Computer Applications
The Masters of Computer Application (MCA) is a three years full time postgraduate course, sanctioned by AICTE, New Delhi and Govt. of Maharashtra with intake capacity of 60. The course is affiliated to University of Pune and ours is the first institute to offer the course under Faculty of Engineering.Department has attained its distinct identity since 2007.
The infrastructure include well developed laboratories, adequate number of computers and tablets with latest configurations and internet facilities, spacious seminar hall with audio visual aids and class rooms as well as tutorial room. To enrich the quality and standard of teaching and learning through modern technology and science various facilities such as Data Projector, Overhead Projectors, License Softwares and Video Conferencing unit is available with department. The department has received grant from the AICTE New Delhi for the MODROBs of laboratory in the year 2012-13.
The department has a well qualified, experienced and enthusiastic faculties and technical staff. The faculty members play dual role both as teacher to impart technical knowledge to students as well as a counselor to guide them for their overall development. Department actively seeks to create opportunities outside of our curriculum for student to develop their professional skills through various certification programmes like IBM DB2, RAD 6.0 , Adobe Flex and RFT(Rational Function Testing). Department is also having NETSIM software for student having keen interest in Networking. Central library as well as department library is also available with department. The ABACUS club, association of students is vibrant in organizing various events such as expert lectures, seminars, workshops, project competition and industrial visits on regular basis. Many of our students are rank holders at university level and are placed at multinational organizations and secured important positions.
I feel happy and proud to convey that the result of final year batch for last seven (7) years is above 95%. This could not have been possible without wholehearted support received from faculty and students.
